Trying out mod_rails

I just installed Passenger / mod_rails, and it’s really a very simple task. The only part that could take a while if you’re, like me, doing something like this for the first time, is the actual code deployment. In any case, this blog post is a sufficient guide. On a 256MB slice and a BackgrounDRB task it hits the swap area hard, so it seems that it takes a little more memory than a pair of mongrels. Although I already read about that. I suppose it should be fine with 512MB with a light load. And RailsMaxPoolSize is quite important.
